Nothing’s Impossible”

Every success story has a humble beginning which proceeds through extraordinary events, and extreme life journeys. The story of Jyothi Reddy – CEO of Keys software solutions, is one of them. Her sum total of honesty towards her small efforts and willingness to keep advancing in life changed her life.
A Solitary and Painful Early Life:
D. Anila Jyothi Reddy was born in Narasimhula Gudem in Hanumakonda mandal as the eldest of four children to an ordinary poor peasant who had lost his job during emergency. While schooling, the depths of poverty unfolded to its extremity and forced her to an introvert life in a government orphanage BALASADAN for long five years and when she completed her 10th class with good marks, she reached the greatest climax of making full stop to her studies. But education was something for which she remained passionate about.
Starvation Leads a Struggle for Better Prospects:
The financial disposition of her family compelled her to get married at the tender of sixteen and by the age of eighteen, she became mother of two girl children. To meet the basic requirements of her family, Jyothi started working as an agricultural laborer for 5 Rupees a day and continued working from 1986 to 1989. Jyothi would mostly work in the fields and struggled to find a job in off seasons. Her tumultuous life changed the day when Nehru Yuvak Kendra (NYK) founded a night school with the intention of providing basic education for the villagers. As she was the only educated girl at her village, they appointed her as a trainer for Rupees 150 a month. A sudden change in life ignited Jyothi’s passion for education once again; her enthusiasm and hard work towards her responsibility overwhelmed the Inspection Authorities who immediately promoted her Mandal Prerak of Hanumakonda. During the time, she realized the importance of education and she went on to completing her graduation and post graduation Ambedkar Open University. Later, on completion of her B. Ed from Anna University, Jyothi Reddy became a government teacher. It was the initial stage that she successfully achieved through slow but steady steps.

Combination of her Dreams and Dedication Built a Competitive Drive:
While working as inspector of schools, she came in touch with one of her relatives who was settled in the United States. After meeting them on some occasions, Jyothi realized how a completely different lifestyle they led. It was the time she first dreamed of going abroad for a bright future of her daughters. There is saying, “Success is 1 percent inspiration and 99 percent perspiration.” Jyothi began preparing herself for a healthy lifestyle and learnt computers, began saving money for her passport and visa. Back in those days, getting US Visa wasn’t an easy task; Jyothi tried for several times and failed. Somehow she managed a visiting visa and flew with a little amount. Here obstacle did not stop here; all her relatives turned off their faces and denied giving her shelter. She was finally accepted as a paying guest at a Gujarati family.
Jyothi joined a video shop in “Movie Time” in New Jersey as a salesperson. While working, her perseverance was noticed by an Indian from Warangal on whose recommendation she got a job as recruiter at a company called CSAMERICA. It was a climbing phase of her economic and career ladder. Several months later, a reputed company ICSA offered her a better position with handsome salary. However, after working for some day the company asked her to resign for not owning a working Visa. She resigned from ICSA and once again worked for just $5 an hour doing several offbeat jobs until the day she received her H1 Visa.
Getting the Visa Stamped, in Jyothi’s words, was one of the most painful and dreary experiences. She had to go to Mexico and live for a great length of time. She came back to the U.S. in May 2000 and became entrepreneur with her own initiation. Her honesty without slightest anxiety of result was supreme investment for good fortune.
Toughest Journey with Exciting Conclusion:
Today, Jyothi Reddy’s success is not limited to her family or friends; it inspires thousands of self-trapped excusists to rise above their countless defeats and fight against their stormy presence with courageous heart and claim a better future. She proves that to be successful, one does not have to be equipped with exceptionally brilliant qualities or talents, what requires is aspiration, desperation, perseverance to accomplish, which most people think to be impossible. She is also a live example of ‘harder you work and luckier you get’.
Break your so called perception about yourself if it limits you, expand your courage if difficulties challenge you, and answer your obstacles if it attempts to confine you. Jyothi Reddy is one of many success stories which prove “Nothing’s Impossible”

HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED?

About a hundred years ago, a man looked at the morning newspaper and to his surprise and horror, read his name in the obituary column. The news papers had reported the death of the wrong person by mistake. His first response was shock. Am I here or there? When he regained his composure, his second thought was to find out what people had said about him.

The obituary read, "Dynamite King Dies." And also "He was the merchant of death." This man was the inventor of dynamite and when he read the words "merchant of death," he asked himself a question, "Is this how I am going to be remembered?"

He got in touch with his feelings and decided that this was not the way he wanted to be remembered. From that day on, he started working toward peace. His name was Alfred Nobel and he is remembered today by the great Nobel Prize.

Just as Alfred Nobel got in touch with his feelings and redefined his values, we should step back and do the same. Today could be a wonderful occasion on a happy Onam day

Remember to ask these questions to your self in the end of the day

What is your legacy?

How would you like to be remembered?

Will you be spoken well of?

Will you be remembered with love and respect?

Will you be missed?

Don't We All

Fun & Info @ Keralites.net

One evening I was parked in front of the mall wiping off my car. I had just come from the car wash and was waiting for my wife to finish work. Coming my way from across the parking lot was what society would consider a bum. From the looks of him he had no car, no home, no clean clothes and no money.
There are times when you feel generous, but there are times that you just don't want to be bothered. This was one of the "Don't want to be bothered" times! " Hope he doesn't ask me for money," I thought. He didn't. He came and sat on the curb in front of the bus stop and he didn't look like he could have enough money to even ride the bus.

After a few minutes he spoke. "That's a very nice car," he said. He was ragged, but had an air of dignity around him. I said "Thanks," and continued wiping off my car. He sat there quietly as I worked. The expected plea for money never came. As the silence between us widened, something inside said, "Ask him if he needs any help." I was sure that he would say yes, but I held true to the inner voice.

"Do you need any help?" I asked. He answered in three simple but profound words that I shall never forget. We often look for wisdom in great accomplishments. I expect it from those of higher learning and accomplishments. I expected nothing but an outstretched grimy hand. He spoke three words that shook me, "Don't we all?" he said. I needed help. Maybe not for bus fare or a place to sleep, but I needed help. I reached in my wallet and gave him not only enough for bus fare but enough to get a warm meal and shelter for the day.

Those three little words still ring true. No matter how much you have, no matter how much you have accomplished, you need help too. No matter how little you have, no matter how loaded you are with problems, even without money or a place to sleep, you can give help. Even if it's just a compliment, you can give that!

You never know when you may see someone that appears to have it all. They are waiting on you to give them what they don't have. A different perspective on life, a glimpse of something beautiful, a respite from daily chaos, that only you, through a torn world can see.

Maybe the man was just a homeless stranger wandering the streets. Maybe he was more than that. Maybe he was sent by a power that is great and wise to minister to a soul too comfortable in himself. Maybe God looked down, called an Angel, dressed him like a bum and then said, "Go minister to that man cleaning the car, that man needs help."

The Harmful Neighbours

In a school east of America, there was a very reputated school. To enter the school, one need to have almost perfect mark, and the school fees can be compared to be as much to a living expense of a simple family for a whole month. However, the school had been facing a big trouble, beside the school were a group of mischievous harmful teenagers of the poor families. It was too often that they destroy the school facilities such as window glasses, students cars and they keep annoying the students when they are out of their school.

"Why our top well-known most reputated school has such an evil neighbour?", the school principal was very mad at a meeting among the commitee. "Drive them out of our land! It is easy! We shall purchase all of their land, and convert the land to our school garden with our annual budget."
The school garden was getting larger, but the situation got worse. The poors did move out, but they rebuild again their new homes near the garden. The security got looser than before due to the very spacious garden.

The school commitee had no more idea, they reported this condition to the police. "When we can't communicate with our neighbours, the best way is not by driving them out or create impenetrable wall upon ourselves. Instead, we should try to understand and communicate with them. Then we EDUCATE them," explained one of the officer.
All the teachers dropped to their silence, as teachers, as educators, they had forgotten their function and their ability to educate others.

In the end, the school established a tuition school for them with very affordable price. They invited the poors around them to visit and give them textbooks and educational books to them for free. The school garden was changed to a sportground, so that the students and the youngsters can get along better. In several years to come, the school had been completely free of any disturbance. And of course the poors have better brighter future lies ahead of them.

Hundred Fold Blessings

Three young men were once given three kernels of corn apiece by a wise old sage, who admonished them to go out into the world, and use the corn to bring themselves good fortune.

Gods blessings

The first young man put his three kernels of corn into a bowl of hot broth and ate them.

The second thought, I can do better than that, and he planted his three kernels of corn. Within a few months, he had three stalks of corn. He took the ears of corn from the stalks, boiled them, and had enough corn for three meals.

The third man said to himself, I can do better than that! He also planted his three kernels of corn, but when his three stalks of corn produced, he stripped one of the stalks and replanted all of the seeds in it, gave the second stalk of corn to a sweet maiden, and ate the third.

His one full stalk’s worth of replanted corn kernels gave him 200 stalks of corn! And the kernels of these he continued to replant, setting aside only a bare minimum to eat. He eventually planted a hundred acres of corn. With his fortune, he not only won the hand of the sweet maiden but purchased the land owned by the sweet maiden’s father. And he never hungered again.
